Meet Scooter & Doodle
In Loving Memory

Scooter was a well cared for and lived with 2 missionaries, along with his littermate Dandy, for 12 yrs of their lives.  The missionaries had to go overseas and could no longer keep them, so we took them in.  They were a 12 year old bonded pair.  Scooter and Dandy were in foster care in Evansville IN, with a family that loved him and Dandy dearly.  We are not sure what happened to Scooter, with continued vet care he continued to deteriorate more and more, until he could no longer hang on, we suspect cancer was the cause.  He passed away peacefully on September 1, 2005.  With much thought the foster home has decided to keep Dandy and let her live out the rest of her life with them, so she doesn't have to go through anymore trauma in her little life, after losing the only buddy she has known. In July of 05 IPPRA got a call, someone had 2 12 yr old yorkies that someone had given them in TX.  They no longer wanted them because of potty issues.  They were tiny little ones, who were bonded with one another. Their names were Dandy and Scooter.  They came to live with their foster mom who quickly became attached to them, got them vetted and their dentals done and were ready to be adopted out to the perfect home.  Then one morning Scooter became ill, he came to us with an infection, the vet thought he took care of it, but turned out he was very sick.  He passed away on Sept 6th, O5.  Dandy was at a loss, she stopped eating and became very depressed, but again the vets pulled her out of it, and she did fine for a week or two then began to fade away, on Sept 26th, we had to let Dandy go.  She pretty much died of a broken heart.  Their foster momma says she will forever miss them, they touched her heart and she will never forget their tiny little pitter patter around the house!

In Loving Memory of Scooter and Doodle

MAY I GO NOW?

Do you think the time is right?
May I say goodbye to pain filled days
and endless pain filled nights?
I didn't want to go at first I fought with all my might.
But something seems to draw me now
to a warm and loving light.
I promise that I'll not be far and hope you'll always know
that my spirit will be close where ever you may go.
Thank you so for loving me
You know I loved you too.
So hold me now just one more time and let me hear you say,
Because you care so much for me you'll let me go today."
That rainbow bridge is a special place!
