Organizations such as ours cannot exist without the help of our volunteers, members, supporters and foster homes. Being a volunteer or foster parents can be both a rewarding and wonderful time in your life, but it is not all peaches and cream. It can be a lot of work.

Foster homes coupled with volunteerism are indeed the most important and most needed resource for any rescue or shelter. Having a flexible and reliable group of fosters and volunteers give rescues the ability to build and to adapt to the ever changing world of animal rescue. The needs of our rescue can change in the blink of an eye. On Saturday we may discover we actually have an empty foster home but by Monday be begging for help again. When we are full, we cannot save the animals in need.

Volunteers are needed for many functions within our organization. We need volunteers that can rescue and care for our foster dogs and members that contribute their skills in making items to be sold in our Boutique and at Events we attend. We also need members that are willing to donate supplies to our members that are busily creating items for our Boutique and Events, make phone calls, do home visits, attend events and help in many other areas. Please indicate below by checking the appropriate boxes to let us know which areas you wish to volunteer in. All volunteer applications will be sent to the IPPRA Membership Director for review and she will email you when she has received your application.

We conduct daily business in Google Groups. You must be willing to be an active participant and check your emails on a daily basis. We are looking for serious and dedicated volunteers only. Thank you.

Why do you want to become a Volunteer for Petite Paws Rescue?

Read the following carefully

*In order to become a volunteer foster home for IPPRA, there will be an additional contract. You must live in Indiana or within 60 miles of the border in Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. Illinois residents must obtain a foster license from the Illinois Department of Agriculture. You must be able to attend our adoption events regularly with your fosters. All of your current pets must be altered and should be up to date on all their vaccines.

Please be advised, that by signing this form and becoming a member of IPPRA, you agree to follow all rules set forth by this organization. This includes, but is not limited to, all of the by-laws, policies, guidelines of the organization, and confidentiality when speaking to non or past members. Being a member of this group does not mean you will approved to adopt one of our rescues.

I understand that membership with IPPRA requires regular active participation. I understand that my membership and fostering privileges can be revoked at anytime. I declare that the information I have provided in this application is complete and correct. I further declare that I am financially and physically able to care for a rescue foster dog. I understand that proper food and veterinarian care may be costly, and I am able and willing to meet the needs of the foster dog. I understand that the IPPRA Treasurer will reimburse me for pre-approved expenses after submitting a copy of the bill with the foster dog's name and ID# to her.
